As we advance in our mission to safeguard airspace with state-of-the-art drone mitigation systems, we seek a strategic and visionary Chief Operating Officer (COO) to drive performance improvement and delivering measurable results in areas like cost reduction, revenue growth, and operational excellence.
Job Summary:
The COO is a key executive leader responsible for overseeing the company’s day-to-day operational functions, ensuring high efficiency and alignment with strategic goals. This role is critical in scaling operations, optimizing performance, and managing acquisitions to enhance WhiteFox Defense’s growth and market position. The COO will work closely with the CEO and the executive team, providing leadership across operational strategy, logistics, asset management, product delivery, and post-acquisition integration.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership
- Oversee daily operational activities, ensuring efficient processes across departments including supply chain, logistics, inventory, and production.
- Implement scalable systems, policies, and best practices to drive operational excellence, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor KPIs and metrics, utilizing data-driven insights to enhance productivity and streamline workflow.
Financial Management
- Collaborating closely with finance, in strategic financial management, financial planning, meticulous budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Align financial strategies with the company’s growth objectives, ensures optimal use of resources, contributing to the organization’s financial sustainability and resilience in a dynamic business environment.
- Create cohesion between organizational leaders and a more diverse knowledge base to inform decisions, leading to smoother organizational functions.
- Align short-term and long-term strategies with company acquisition goals
Asset & Inventory Oversight
- Direct the organization’s asset management strategy, including overseeing large-scale asset counts, inventory relocation, and warehousing.
- Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to assess assets and identify items for retention or liquidation.
- Ensure accurate tracking, cataloging, and reporting on assets across all locations, improving asset utilization and reducing waste.
Cross-functional Coordination
- Partner with the Chief Business Officer and other executives to align operational initiatives with overall business strategy, sales goals, and financial targets.
- Drive close collaboration with product development, engineering, and customer service teams to optimize product delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Foster a strong culture of communication, accountability, and teamwork across all levels of the organization.
Strategic Planning & Execution
- Develop and implement long-term operational strategies in line with WhiteFox Defense’s growth trajectory and mission.
- Support the CEO in crafting and executing strategic plans, including annual operating plans, budgets, and forecasts.
- Analyze market trends, regulatory impacts, and emerging technologies, identifying new opportunities for operational innovation and improvement.
Qualifications
- Experience in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in operational management, ideally within the defense, aerospace, or technology sectors.
- Proven track record of managing acquisitions, from deal structuring to integration.
- Strong understanding of supply chain, logistics, and asset management in a high-growth environment.
- Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and foster a culture of operational excellence.
- Analytical and strategic thinking, with experience in driving metrics-based improvements and making data-informed decisions.
